  • If you are on the Free Package, no orders will be displayed, as order information is not provided for in-store cash pickup orders. Packing notifications and estimated pickup times are also not available to customers for in-store cash transactions.

  • If you've signed up for the Basic Package, you will have access to pickup and delivery information for cashless transactions from customers in-app. To enable cashless transactions, you will need an AeroPay account.

Processing Pickup Orders

Vendors can update the order status—such as “In Progress” or “Ready for Pickup”—directly in the portal, triggering automatic alerts to the customer. This feature helps ensure customers arrive at the designated time, minimizing wait times and optimizing store efficiency.

The Droppz Vendor Portal streamlines the pickup order process by providing vendors with an intuitive dashboard for managing customer requests. When a customer places a pickup order through the Droppz app, the order immediately appears in the vendor portal. Review key details such as product selections, customer information, and scheduled pickup time. The system ensures real-time synchronization, allowing vendors to confirm order availability and begin preparation without delay. Automated notifications keep both vendors and customers updated, reducing miscommunication and improving order accuracy.

 

How to Confirm an Online Order and Prepare For Pickup 

  1. Under Pending Pickup Orders from your dashboard select view details from the order you want to view.

  2. Look for Payment Type "Cashless" for in-app payments for Pickup.

  3. View the order and customer details screen within the Droppz Order Details Screen.

  4. Open any back end POS station to verify the inventory and select confirm order under the customer Order on Droppz.

  5. Build the order in the POS software as pickup and select processing order under the Order on Droppz.

  6. When finished move the Droppz order to Ready.

  7. Label pickup bag with Customer Full Name.

  8. Place order in the pickup cabinet under the pickup register/POS.  

 

How to Complete an Online Order For Pickup with the Customer 

  1. We recommend a dedicated register named Droppz for cashless pickup orders from the Droppz Platform.

  2. When the customer appears at the pickup register/station, you can pull the order up in the POS by customer name (since it was pre-built earlier for the customer).

  3. Verify the order and check ID for age verification.

  4. Once verified, complete the transaction in the POS as a cash transaction (this sends the necessary info to metrc & keeps your inventory accurate in real time).

  5. Open the customer order in the Droppz vendor portal and select complete transaction. (This sends the money for the order from the end customer to you the retailer)
